Default Silicone sealant and PBC grease?

Hey, I'm wondering what you guys all use for silicone sealant and silicone PBC (Poly Butyl Cuprysil) grease.

Would I be okay using Permatex Ultra Copper for everything? I Originally bought some for the exhaust as I wanted to be sure it would handle the heat but now I'm wondering if there is any harm in using it anywhere silicone sealant is called for. Besides the exhaust, I'll be needing some for the head cover gasket (when I check valve clearance) and also the cooling system switches (warning light switch and fan switch) which I removed for testing.

What do you guys use for PBC grease? Is it true that any high-temperature, waterproof grease will work? I will be rebuilding my front caliper soon and I'm wondering if Permatex Silicone Ceramic Brake Lubricant will fit the bill. The service manual says to apply a thin coat of PBC grease on the inner fluid seal so I want to be sure I get stuff that works good considering it goes on such a vital part.

I'm just trying to use stuff that is readily available to me and doesn't cost a fortune. Thanks for the help!

it's ok, but black will last longer for things like your valve cover. it's also really bad for high torque metal to metal surfaces (you'd want ultra black or grey for that)

and also the cooling system switches (warning light switch and fan switch) which I removed for testing.
i wouldn't use RTV on those

Okay thanks, I'll probably get some Permatex Motoseal for when I do the valve inspection. I've heard some bad stories about the head cover gasket on 2009s having some problems with either shrinking and/or leaking so I'll probably grab a new gasket as well.

Why not? The service manual said to use silicone sealant on the radiator switch threads (Kawasaki bond 56019-120). Through research I have read that it is rebranded Three Bond 1211 which is RTV silicone.

Any of the Permatex Ultra series will work on the valve cover gasket. The ceramic lubricant you have listed is for use on the caliper slides-not the internal seals. There is a dedicated assembly fluid available for rebuilding calipers but I've always found that clean brake fluid always works.
