It was a Kenda Desert IT. It wore better than a trackmaster on the street with way more traction in the dirt.

Let us know what you end up getting....what bike are you thinking about?

One thing we all got in common is that we all owned a klx at one time or another.....we're an odd group I think ... none of my friends can relate

Don't be a stranger.

Hey! that's going to look cool! What kind of spoke wrench did you use on those wheels? Rigid? LOL
Keep us posted.

+1

I'm actually getting close to being a KLX owner, twice removed. I'm just having a lot of mental anguish parting with this beauty. So many good memories. And she still runs fantastic, not to mention looks great, too. Pic from Sunday:

But man, that new bike is calling, calling, calling ... maybe in a few months.

Your migrating away from the orange and black attack??? I could never do it. I'm going to run mine into dust. Or it will run me into dust, one or the other.

2k1w you can lurk around like us other non KLXers.

PS: I still don't get the name :P

I would interpret this as 2 Kids... 1 Wife = No Money...
So my brother following the same theory would have the screen name
6K1xW1nW = BROKE (that's 6 kids, one x wife, one new wife )
See we all got something to be thankful for!

Hope you have a great time on your project and new bike 2k1w
