Side rack options
My goal is to try and mount the Wolfman Expedition Dry Saddlebags to a 2006 KLX250S. Since Wolfman currently does not offer a rack for that bike, I was wondering what other racks out there people are using that would work for this bag set-up. Anybody out there running with the wolfman expedition dry bags?
I did notice that Happy Trails has a rack set, but is listed for the 09'. I emailed them and they said it *probably* would fit the 06'. Anybody have any experience with the happy trails SL or SU racks on their 06'. Here is a link: http://www.happy-trail.com/Departmen...i/KLX250S.aspx
An additional question...
I know DirtBagz has a full setup (racks and bags) which may end up being my best option (although I would prefer a waterproof setup). What is the overall opinion of this setup. The racks do not look super rugged, maybe easily bent in a tip-over?

No probs for me with the Dirtbagz.

The frames really only keep them off the exhaust and wheel.
The load is carried by the straps that go over the seat.
In saying that, I did go for the Wolfman Expedition bags for the DR.
Here's the full set up.
Dirtbagz, Tankbag, Extra fuel, good to go.

Someone earlier mentioned that Cycleracks also makes some attachments for saddlebags or panniers. I haven't checked with them yet, though.
Neilaction - I like that fuel tank setup!

Question for dirt bagz users:
How have you dealt with the non-waterproofness of the bags? Large trash bag as a liner? Spray fabric sealer on exterior? Stay home when it's wet out?

Even on my road bike panniers, I still pack things into smaller, water proof bags. Apart from the added protection incase water somehow gets in, it means that nothing gets wet if you need to open things up when its raining.
