85 was the most I ever got to a tank before reserve. 75-80 is more typical (but I just went big jug so that should go down even more.

I think we are all on the same page on this one. The KLX is a great bike for what it is. A fun trail bike that is street legal. It can't replace a VFR for commuting on the Interstate. I have ridden mine to work a couple of times but I would not pick this bike for an occasionallong ride to work.

Try to get both or get a bigger DS.

I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever bike you choose as long as your riding.I love my klx but will buy a cruzer in the spring for the long rides,one more bike in the garage wont hurt.Can't wait to see the 08 limited mean streak. And NO i'm not giving up my klx.
