Default Shorty Levers

Looking for shorty clutch and break levers. Any ideas that won't break the bank. Don't want to saw the ends off. Thanks

I was at the dealer on Friday ordering a new clutch lever. Apparently there aren't a whole lot of options for after market levers for the KLX... at least that I've seen. So I bought an OEM one for $5. Until I can find something better I'll stick with that.

Brien, that is the same problem I am having. Trying to find the shorter levers? I keep bending the clutch lever when I dump the bike. I want to put on some hand guards and add the shorter levers for the fitting issues.

DRC levers from Wheeling.

I got a pair last year. Unfortunately, they're still on the shelf due to a way-too-long Other-Things-That-Need-Done-Around-Here list...

A hacksaw and a file or grinding wheel. I have the original levers from '06 on mine that have been cut down, and they work like new. Short levers and bark busters equal the end of broken/bent levers except in the most unusual circumstances.

Well, ya, you could do the hacksaw thing - I like having ***** on the ends of my levers though.

It says for '08 model. Any idea if they will fit the '09-10 and '12 models too?

A couple applications of heat shrink tubing. First a smaller diameter one, about 1/2+" extra folded back over itself. Then next diameter up over both without any extra length. The end result is a nice set of comfortable ***** on the ends.

Redpillar gives some better instructions and pics around here somewhere.
