If anyone still needs to pick up a service manual, someone has one listed on Ebay for $19.99 plus $3-something S&H. Here is the listing.

This is a good way to pick up this otherwise expensive little item. I got mine on Ebay last week for $15.50 plush $4 S&H. The current listing appears to be in better shape than the one I got.

Anyway, just thought I would give a head's up.

Thats a 93-94....is that for our 06-07 too?

 

Someone correct me if I am wrong on this, but I think we are supposed to be using the older KLX base manual plus a supplement that covers changes for the 2006 & 2007 models. If I bought the wrong one, then I guess I screwed up, but I think it is the right one.

Dave, I hope I didn't lead you to make a mistake, but if I did, at least it's a mistake that I also made. I think we are in good shape though.

 

Must be a helluva supplement because theres not much similar to our 06-07 bike and one thats 14 years old.

Our manual part #'s are suppose to be
99924-1165-03 Service Manual KLX250/300
99924-1240-57 Service Manual Supplement* KLX250H

If your book is part #99924-1165-03 then your okay, if not thats a $20 trash can liner

99924-1165-03 this is the number in the book
the one I bought is -02 so a supplement will have to be used.
But either way I think it will be fine.......................

Dave, I'm not much help there because my manual just came in the mail yesterday. Sorry.

I do know that others have bought their manuals on Ebay as well, so there are probably others than can attest to whether the -02 manual is of any value. I think NoBrakes got his on Ebay.

My manual (99924-1165-03) says it is for the 93-96 KLX250 D1/2/3/4, E1/2/3, and the G1/2. My supplement manual (99924-1240-55) says it is for the 99-05 H2/3/4/5/6/7 and J2/4. Oddly enough, all the paperwork that came with my 2006 says it's a H6, but the back of my supplement says the KLX250-H6 is a 2004.

At any rate, you got a good deal and the right book. I've used the main manual several times without problem. I have only used the supplement for torque specs.
