Jason, I would disgree that "aftermarket work/parts have no retail value". While that work and those parts may have a greatly diminished value, they can add a very strong selling point to a given motorcycle. I bought my '06 that already had a full Muzzy exhaust, DJ kit, airbox mods, Vapor instrument panel, aftermarket bars, bark busters, and some other incidentals. I can guarantee that these parts/mods made a big difference in my choice of this particular bike.

Whoa calm the fudge down here folks. This post isn't an add... So relax. As to why I didn't post a year and pics here is because I thought everyone here knew from being here several years and I've posted plenty of pics. On other adds I did post the year, condition, and pics. So I don't know where any of you got the Impression I was asking the critique on my add, or that this was even an add to begin with.

My question was do you think 2200 is too much? As for not mentioning the year, as stated I thought everyone knew, but it's a 2006. It's in what I'd call good condition. It has KN filter , new chain, good sprockets, great engine and tranny, fork seals redone with heavier oil, bell mirrors, Baja designs turn signals, 250d tracker exhaust, new tires, extra sprockets, and other original parts available.

As far as my communication goes.... I'll tell you how many **** are on the tires if you want, but that wasn't the point of this post, this isn't intentionally meant to be an add.

To answer the gentleman earlier that inquired about my bike. I live about 90 miles from Pittsburgh, in Altoona PA, which is east of the burgh.

Do you guys understand what I'm getting at now?

That's a good price. I would have paid that when I was looking for mine.

As for the rest of what I posted, that's just me venting after trying to buy a couple bikes lately.

Selling advantage perhaps but not retail value which is what my post is about. I Think you guys really really misunderstood what my intent here was. Which is irrelevant anyway because I don't have any fancy fmf pipes, bill blue kit, pro action suspension, vapor tech dash etc. It's basically still just an average bike. I even have most all the originals minus the mirrors....sold them to a friend.

Sounds like a great price to me.

Any idea what you are replacing it with?

Not sure yet, mate. I have been THINKING about getting the DR 400. Only because there seem to be less and less trails around here. I would go with a WR 250 to keep more off road style. But like I said, all of the trails are either being posted, or the area's being torn up for windmills, strip mining, etc. So I will be doing alot more road riding. I don't want to go with the big pig 600's-650's. But the 400 sounds to be a good medium. Would love a Katoom or that other really cool looking Euro bike, but that costs $$$$ I don't have

By the by, heres the Craigs list add. I have to add new pics, these pics are old. I'm going to try to snap a few today if I get around to it. I'll get'm over the next few days for sure. Not a whole lot has changed, but its good to keep it current.
