Just wanted to give everyone on here a heads up, I put my taillight on E-bay. Never used it, just took it out of the package and decided against it. Lots of the guys on here have used it and are happy with it, I just went another route (a little less legal for the plate, but the bike is rarely ridden on-road).

I forgot, why don't you put it on the bike? I absolutely love my light, really cleaned up the back end of the bike.

 

I didn't use the one I bought because I didn't feel like fabricating something to cover up the gap left by removing the stock one. Also, I use bungee cords on the rear rack for carrying stuff and the Acerbis would have been smack against the bottom of the rack making my bungee method impossible. I should put mine on eBay...

 

Yeah i covered the hole with the acerbis one, but lost the rack as a result. Its a tradeoff I guess but the only time i ever used the rack (aside for a grip when i pick the bike up) was to bungee the acerbis down when i took it home from my brothers house

 

Hmmm that's weird I have the light, the rack, the pelican case and it all fits and I can still use bungees. Speaking of the hole left from the stock light, when I did mine last year I siliconed a piece of plastic in there but a few months ago I noticed it was coming back out. So today after I washed the bike from yesterday's PNW ride I decided to fix it, so I drilled all the pop rivets out from the license plate, and the light and secured theplastic with 4 stainless 12/24 stainless nuts and bolts and put everything back together. It looks great again and will last this time. Here are a couple of pics.

 

Yeah mines totally different. The plate holder itself is far bigger and is pretty much a square. I thik the top of the light sits higher. I've screwed it on just at the edge of the hole from the OEM light. It would need to go down an inch i think (which puts it right on top of the hole, no where to put the screws) Its weird they look very similar yet they are so different.
