Default Saturday morning ride 14-Aug-10

Here are a few pics of my ride Saturday. There was absolutely nobody else around.

Great pictures !

Seeing scenery like that makes me miss living in the north, but then i think about how long and cold the winters are and i get over it.

Someday i'll have a summer place up north so i can have the best of both worlds.

It is at the end of the Transalta road at Waiparous. You ride about 15km west of the Forestry Trunk Road and then you drop into this wide valley. You can then go either N or S in the valley.

Ahh, winter isn't so bad! It only last from November to April and it doesn't get that cold, maybe -40C or so.

Lol, exactly my reason for moving to warmer climes.

But the scenery is so amazing, God's country.

I'll 2nd that. Worst ever. It has been like a tropical summer but without the heat. 3pm every day.... thunder storm. My lawn sure is green though.

yah man, but the mosquitoes have sure thrived with it!

What part of the city are you in? We should go ride sometime. Even driving out 66 past mclean out to the dirt roads there (takes you to the otherside to highway 1)
