Default Santa finally showed up

Almost a week late but the Santa Claus in the brown truck finally made it.

Pirelli Scorpion Pro front 90/90/21 and the Kenda Trackmaster II rear 110/100/18

I'm gonna be curious how the rear feels... my current has been the Dunlop 606 in 120/90/18... I think it was too big of a tire for this weakling 250, so I went with a 110 this time... debated going with a 100/100/18 but figured I would want the extra 10mm width in softer trails. My dad swears by the Pirelli front so I can't wait to give it a whirl. He still has life in his Dunlops (we both got 606 last time) so maybe I'll be able to keep up with him now since I have superior rubber

Oh and Santa comes next week with a new air filter and some oil filters. My Twin Air has a small tear on the base... its not letting in dirt but I would rather be safe than sorry.

I bought a Pirelli Scorpion also. I had a trackmaster on front and never was happy with it. The reviews on the pirelli are good, hope there right. I run a 120/100 trackmaster on the back and it does great.

Well I've always been told that a smaller, lighter rear will spin faster than a wider, taller one... granted its only 10mm narrorer and probably less than 2 mm shorter, but I also was told the D606 was a heavy tire, as well. Very curious how it works out.

P.S. Trying out the UNI filter this time, since the Twin Air fell apart so fast.

let us know the mileage you get out of the front. i didnt really like that trackmaster that much better than the 606, they both track about the same to me. didnt notice the extra weight at all. the only tire i found that grips better than the 606 was the t63, and it wears better than the trackmaster by a good 500 miles or so. the trackmaster was fun on curvey roads roads though, the slight slide added to the excitement.

The back isn't bad at all. The front was better than stock but I've got many a scar from it letting go.... and that was before it was worn out.

I got over a year out of the D606 tires... here's what they look like now (hide the women and children)

And since Noah just paid us a visit and said "Good luck" I decided to pull off the plastics (again) and clean it up pretty nice (again).

EDIT: That last photo is pre-cleaning FYI

Ozzie:

The TwinAir ripped the first time I took it out to clean. As in, oiled it, put it on, took it out to clean, and it ripped. Maybe I just got a bad filter, IDK. I'm gonna keep it as a backup.

Are you using NoToil oil? Apparently the alcohol or whatever they use as a thinner to ease application can degrade the glue on non-NoToil filters and cause the seams to separate. I've since switched to standard filter oil. Supposed to be better for the real fine dust vs NoToil anyway.

wow, a 606 last that long with you. me its like 3, MAYBE 4 months and it looks worse than that. trackmaster lasted me a trip and a few weeks. also, i was saying the 606 rear had good traction, not the front. i liked it at first cus it was better than stock, but once i got a rally raid i knew i was missing out on a lot of traction.

I've got 3000 miles on my current 606 and it still looks 60%, you guys are tough on tires.
