Follow turbo guy's youtube vids and you'll see he took the turbo off as he couldn't keep it from going too lean at constant speed. There are some speed runs with it.

My best advice, other than what's been said, is find a sand pit or sandy location and just spend time riding there. Luckily for me there is a sand pit just down the road from work.
The front tire becomes more of a rudder in sand, it takes time to get used to it.
Throttle usage is key in the sand, I mean lots of it.

Yeah, it takes a while to learn to ride in Sand.
Front tire is just the ruder, good description!
I cant go straight forward for a while, having a light left or right direction in sand
I'm almost using full throttle an then close it slowly a bit, at some point the rear tire gets more "traction".

Also, you have to put your knees/legs into the bike for more control. Like you are holding the bike with your legs. Weight the pegs in the direction you want to go instead of using too much front tire steer. Want to go right? Put more weight on the right peg. Loosen your grip on the handle bars.
Like others are saying, go find some sand and try it! It actually makes riding sand a little easier and less tiring.

I hit Glamis last year with a Paddle tire and got a pretty solid crash course. As previously mentioned:

Keep it pinned until you're stopping (no brakes will be needed)
Stand up and lean back
Stay slightly left-or-right turning

It's also alot of work. I rode half days and then just went back to camp to get sloshed while the quad guys rode all day.
