rims for klx250S
Anyone know part numbers for both the front and rear rims 21" and 18" for a 2009 KLX250S? OEM rims are ridiculous $253.00. Also spoke kits? It seems it's harder than I thought to find them. Both my front and rear rims could be replaced and nobodies application charts mention the KLX250S. Is there something different about these rims like the spoke hole size or something.?
They are pretty common rims, rear is 2.50-18 and front I believe is a either a 1.85 or 2.15-21 I'd have to look at home. You need the hole count too. Look for the KLX300R or some similar year KX wheels, they used the same hubs with less machining than the KLXs, but same spokes. The reason you don't find the KLX is because it is less likely to need the work, motocrossers and other off roaders will. Rims will get bent and need replaced and riders will want annodized ones for looks. I will look later tonight to see if I can tell you more.
Why do you need them? I think if you are replacing rims you could just buy a couple KLX300 or KX wheels and tear them apart to use the parts on your bike.

The rims are bent and both have pretty good dings in them. I've been bitten by the RZR bug and have two of them now so my KLX budget is pretty meager these days so it would be more cost effective if I could find an inexpensive rims like Moose or SRT and just lace them up and true them. I haven't seen any KLX 300 wheels for sale around here. Apparently neither Moose or SRT offer rims for the KLX250S.
eBay sells tusk rims for $89 and they go up $189 for a DID rim. Rim n spoke kit was $399. You might better off trying to buy a used set of rims complete, I seen a rear rim complete for a decent price but the fronts were kinda up there. There was a moose rim too
