Riding Standing UP?
Hey guys I've got a question. The general consensus is to stand when riding offroad especially in sand or mud for better control. Does anyone else find the KLX uncomfortable to stand on the pegs? I'm 5'6", 30" inseam and as such lowered the rear 1" and the front 5/8" (right to the first taper on the fork tubes) and put in a set of bar risers that are ~1" extra and KX low bend bars. Anyway I find that the bar to footpeg spacing feels too short. To get in the "attack" position I'm hunkered way down and leaning back to the point that I'm pulling on the bars, but if I stand up straighter I'm leaning on the bars. Does anyone know of a way to lower the footpegs, or if a lowered footpeg kit exists? With the bar risers in my clutch cable is just about at max stretch so taller bars are out, unless there's some slack hiding somewhere.
Yea I stand up half of the time, even sometimes on the public roads and around town, but I seemed to be hunched over, I guess I should look into raising the bar.......get it raising the bar?..........(Deej clears throat) Anyway, I might not do it as it seems like a lot of work, and I'm lazy.
I think you just learn over time to bend your knees more. I tend to be in a slight squat position, however its usually a good thing to also be back a bit to keep from burying the front wheel into the sand and mud.
If the stuff is really thick, I'll ride though it pulling back and blipping the throttle on and off to help raise the front wheel and keep it all clear up front...

I guess I need to work on my form then, you look to be standing up taller than I usually am. I just have to find the sweetspot I guess, I'm used to quads and trikes that balance themselves so it didn't really matter how I was standing.
As far as the Pivot Pegz go they look like they would help with shifting and braking but they only drop 1/2" over stock and that won't really help me all that muchI don't think, appreciate it though, I never knew such a thing existed.

You can buy adjustable pegs, Nobrakes (Brian) are those IMS pegs adjustable? I'm getting a set of PivotPegz which are adjustable up and down for a more comfortable ride.

Cheers
