Went over my buddies yesterday to help him replace the clutch in his subaru and had to take the studded ktm out for a bit.... everything was under control in the first pic.... lol.... came up pretty fast...

 

Looks like a blast. I'm getting so antsy to ride that I told my dealer to have my bike ready to ride on the 25th of this month. Most people start riding again during the first two weeks of April, but I've waited long enough. A friend of mine arranged to pick-up his BMW on like the 15th of April. No way I will wait that long![8D]

 

Damn, those studs must hook up good to make the bike wheelie like that in the snow!

Judging by how your feet are sprawled out in that first pic, it looks like that wheelie was unexpected

 

Kind of reminds my of when I adjusted my clutch last time.I moved the sweet spot from barely of the grip to about 3/4 release of the lever. Iwas going around some oldster just after a stop sign and coordinated clutch and throttle to the old sweet spot out of habit....whoa Nelly!!

 

Looks like fun, I'd like to try that sometime. But the last time we got any appreciable amount of snow down here was 8 years ago. [&:]

a tad off topic do the ktms overheat...i dont know what size my friends brother has but he said it overheats in the trails and thats why he takes the honda 650 out when we ride, he recently bought an oil cooler kit like 6 months ago,i havent brought it up again, but i did run into a guy riding a similar/same model ktm in the trails and we got talking and he said his did but changed the gearing and it solved it....either way its a bad *** bike

 

They tend to run hot stock due to the jetting and the exhaust restrictor, but once you take care of that, that generally takes care of it. If you still have trouble, an accessory fan kit is available for about $75 from KTM that is similar to that on the KLX. Mine's never overheated, though, but I've heard of others having that problem, but no one that I know personally.

 

yea that thing hooked up enough to wheelie... kinda caught me off guard... im used to the klx for power and non studded tires in the snow... it was cool... but its amazing how much it hooks up even in the woods.
