Default Ride report.

Hit the tracks in the hills to the East today.
Covered around 190km's home to home.

It was a superb day for it.
Cool, the odd shower or 2 bit mainly fine.

For the west aussies out there, here is the route we took.

We have had a bit of rain lately.

But not to be deterred

The tracks this time of year are a bit slippery but at least there is no dust.

Only 2 negatives to report.

1. I lost my side stand spring.
Just heard a clanking noise, looked down, and the stand was swinging in the breeze.
Walked back a few hundred meters but didn't find it.

2. Got stopped by a ranger on Reservoir Rd.
I didn't know that you couldn't ride there anymore.
Since 1st of May there is a 2k exclusion zone around Helena Reservoir.
As we were on street legal bikes, just a warning.
At least we know.

This was my first ride since having the suspension tuned.
I will post my thoughts at a later time.

Yeh it was a good day.

As for the new tank?
We refueled at Karragullen and we did 165k's after that.
I still haven't switched to reserve!!

With the old tank I was switching to reserve at around 100k's.
Same riding style and terrain.
The new tank is perfect for a 1 day ride.
I am fairly knackered after 190ks.
Around 130 of that was off road today.

Gavin, you, and anyone else, is more than welcome to join us.
And now my shoulders mended and the bikes all sorted, I imagine we will head out most weekends.
We will miss the odd one.

Hey Guys, trying having 3 of those bubs and you'll soon know how much time they sap, I haven't been out for like 2 months other than a quick zip around the local tracks, I wouldn't change it though there worth every minute and every $ spent on them.. I'd hate to even think of what I could have if I was childless.

Cheers
Chris.

Well normal rain I guess, after a couple of relatively dry years.
That area is thick clay where the water sits on the surface.
In summer it sets like concrete.

It's on the far right of the google earth image, marked white patch.

I bet there is some good riding in your neck of the woods?
I'll get over there one day.
