I think you guys are spot on with your analysis. What confused me was when I went to pick it up, the seller was cranking it over and I told him to quit, I'd start it when I got home using quick start. It had sat for awhile. Apparently it lost it's charge rapidly, maybe from faulty charging as I let it set for a few days once I got home. I'm picking up a new battery on Sat along with a battery tender so I will post when I hear the sweet sound from the exhaust.

Default Many thanks to the friends of the Kawasaki forum for the solution to the problem.

Three days later when I try and start it, I immediately get a clicking sound from what appears to be a relay that has the cable from the positive side connected to it and all goes dead until it resets. At first I thougt either one of the cables was loose or dirty but it's more than that. Any advice on what is causing this.
I have a Kawasaki klx 250 year 2016 model 17, I have the same problem as the one reported about the solenoid relay, but the real problem was ultimately the battery..Every time I tried to start the bike it would turn off and the engine would not turn over, not even a spark would occur. It took me a while to figure out the problem because my battery was giving a voltage of 12.83 volts.I thought the problem might be the starter motor or the solenoid relay, but I finally discovered that the battery had a stable charge. It would power the bike, but when it needed to start the engine, it would completely shut down the entire system and it would take a few minutes for it to return to normal.I would like to thank all the friends on this forum. All of the answers were essential to solving my problem. I hope I am contributing to solving someone else's problem. May God bless you!
