Rekluse EXP Clutch
 
Has anyone here ever approached Rekluse about producing an EXP auto-clutch for our bikes?

Yes I have many times even offered to pay them and wait till they designed one. They were not interested.

I went to EFM auto clutches they said they would make one for me, less then two weeks later I installed it and have been useing it for over 2 years. I am comcletly happy with it no adjustments on nothing. I can give your all the info if you want or yo can contect them

Can you explain a little more how the manual clutch works in conjunction with the automatic. For example, can you fan the clutch to pull a wheelie?

Thanks for the info Gary. I was hoping an EXP would be less expensive than a full auto-clutch replacement. They sell around $400.

The cost with shipping was 650.00

The clutch works something like your auto trans in your car. You but it in gear and when you are ready to go roll on the throttle, when you want shift to another gear roll off and shift. The time that it works great is on fast starts off the line and driving out of corners, you dont have to be good with the clutch just roll the throttle and go. Over obstrickles much easier. Its also great on hills again just roll the throttle and go no clutch work. The bike dose not stall if you go down. Some people dont like the clutch going down hill, I think thats because they dont know how to ride down the hills. If you get on the back brake its not going to stop you and it will stall the motor by locking up the back wheel. They should us the front brake to slow or stop on hills and when going down hill stay on the throttle.

Hope this helps you, although I think there might be some come back from riders that think Im wrong. Their loss

Interesting. I have just put a zStart Pro in my Husky and love it to the point where I would like one in my KLX. I wonder if there are enough guys on here interested in an EXP 2.0 to get Rekluse to make one for us (like IMS did with the tanks)?

With the EFM clutch, what puts me off is that I need to remove my clutch and send it to them to modify - so I will be without my bike while that happens. I can't really afford that as it is my daily commuter. If EFM can just send me the parts I need based on your previous order, that might be the way to go though. Didn't they modify your clutch basket though?

Yes they do modify the basket, also the clutch ends up being larger so they make a 5/16 spacer to install under the clutch cover.

Two years ago we tryed to get Rekluse to make a clutch for the KLX offered to pre order 6, after waiting 6 weeks nothing they said to watch their web, nothing yet. But it might work now might be worth a try.
