Default rejetted pumper

with the advice of all here. i rejetted the pumper carb that i got from bill. the whole thing went a lot easier than te first time and using vasaline like Bake suggested worked great. still have issues withe the boot being too close to the injector that goes from the bottom of the carb to the intake but i massaged that enough that i can live with it. i went with the 137.5 main jet and a 40 pilot jet. i put the kdx snorkel back in an have the air/fuel screw at about 1.50.

i'm not going to get all **** about getting the mixture perfect.. the bike runs a lot better than it did with the 125 main and 37.5 pilot.

I'm Content with the added power that i got out of the rejetting. Except for the tank that Clarke is coming out with i'm done modding this bike. time to just ride it.

Thanks everyone for the help. I needed it and it was all usefull!!!

Good to hear she's running better for you.

Great job getting the bike back running good. You are abetter man than me if you can stop after the new tank. I'm starting to refer to the KLX as the money pit, mainly due to my lack of self control.

I'm holding off on the big bore kit since I'm not ready to upgrade to a new bike yet.

Still not 100% on the upgrade progression yet.

1. Jetting
2. Exhaust
3. Big Bore
4. Pumper
5. KTM
6. Fork Springs???

Ha ha, you learn quickly, my apprentice. Do you have your service manuals? Wrenches? Credit card? Wife's credit card? 2nd job? More wrenches? Only then can you begin your training. First lesson: you must never be satisfied with the status quo. Go now, young grasshopper. Gather the essential tools and prepare your mind for the challenges that lie ahead. Only when your training is complete will know to the answers to your questions.

i'm running the muzzy full pipe and i'm at 257 ft above sealevel. i also have a 47 tooth rear sprocket which puts me in the rev range quicker than the stock 42 teeth rear.

i haven't been able to run a full tank of gas yet so i can't comment on what this carb will do to the range but i would guess that i lost some miles per tank. if anyone has done some calculating on that i'd be interested to hear the results.
