Reboud dampener
So since I'm a larger rider, I'm going to set the front forks to 1 click out (or maybe just have it seated in, is that bad?) and the rear compression damper to the same. Going to spin down the spring nuts right to the bottom of the threads, but I'm confused about the rebound. I've read around here that guys leave it a little lose ie: the 12 clicks out. I also read here that the more clicks OUT, the faster the rebound is, does this mean its stiffer and come back faster and harder? It woudl make more sense that the more clicks in the harder and faster it would be.
Whether rebound or compression it just a needle valve. In is slower, out is faster for rebound, in stiffer, out softer for compression. Note bumping up the dampening adjustments is not replacement for the right spring. On my last ride the rear end felt like a pogo stick--not enoughdampening--anywhere. I wentIN on compression two clicks & also on rebound (more dampening on both sides of the stroke).
Set your rear preload to use 1/3 of your travel when you sit on the bike. Then you see how much the bike sage at that setting without you, then you can get the right spring. I set mine & need a heavier srping but have not got it done yet.

Thanks, so the rebound if i want it to come back faster, i click out. I know it wont replace the right springs, but its not really that bad to begin with, just might as well adjust it if its there. I spun down (compressed) the spring about half way to the bottom from stock (i got tired of hammering) so well see if that does much if anything.

Thanks i'll give that a go. I sat on the bike and its noticeably stiffer. I think I may like it where i have it. Also noticed when i bled the right fork, air was either released or entering (couldnt tell) the left one made no sound. that could explain why the right one was also leaking oil.
