Well I ran out of gas for the first time today. When it runs out it really runs out, died instantly. I was wondering how many miles you guys get on a full tank?

 

I get nervous when the trip-meter shows 75 miles or so. Did you run out on the main or reserve setting? I've hit reserve just twice since I've had the bike and you're right, it wants to die right away. Really fun when you're traffic. [:'(]

I'm getting around 55-58 MPG with normal road use and a bit less with fast paced trail riding.

 

I hit 60 miles on the way home for lunch today and I had plenty of time to grab the petcock and hit reserve before it died. I have been as low as 55 when it hit, and 85 if I really take it easy, but where's the fun in that right?

 

I usually start looking for gas at 60-70 miles. I expect reserve to come on around 80 miles. I don't take round trips much longer that 150 miles in a day so range hasn't been a major issue. I've only put about 2200 miles on the bike last year.... and I already need new tires.

 

All stock I got 91 miles to reserve, all road riding. With the Mods done nowit probly will be less,It's too much fun hammering on the throttle.I have 1100 miles on the bike and rear tire half gone.
