Question Raised my H-bars stock brake line not long enough.

I recently put taller Handle bars on my 09' KLX250s, and now I need longer cables and brake line, The cables I can Make but anyone now if a KX250f front brake line will work for the KLX250s?
Or have a good manufacturer for a longer line?

How much higher?
You can loosen the brake line at the fork guard down by the caliper. Then where it is "Hooked" by the plastic that is protruding from the guard...........oh screw it, I will take a picture. Give me a sec.

KLX300R clutch cable is a couple of inches longer. My brake line is a standard length Galfer stainless hose (a good inch longer than stock in reality) & only just fitted after raising the bars about 1.5 inches & about 1 inch wider!

Bill Blue will also make you a brake line. I even had a local shop ready to make one but they were a little more money. I got one from Bill 3" longer. The SS brake line has the extra benefit of removing that line hanging below the fork which seems plain scarey for off road use.

Please elaborate....Picture would be best. Dont all bikes have the brake line below the fork since the caliper that the line feeds is down there?

On my '09 the brake line seems very secure from the master cylinder up on the bar end all of the way down to the caliper below the fork. I would like a stainless line though, but just loosened the clamp and took the line out from under the hook on the fork protector for now.

There's lots of pics around here. On my '06, there was a solid steel part of the brake line that runs under the fork just begging to get whacked my a rock or log. Here's one thread I found in the FAQs showing how the SS line is routed in what appears to be a much safer location. klxforum.suncup.net • View topic - Stainless Steel Brake Line Routing
