If I had a 09+ I would do the Nomadic after looking at all the choices. The cycle rack is the most robust but is somewhat bulky. The nomadic does at least attach to one point inward of the the cantilever frame component (at the seat bolt). That makes it better than the factory 06 rack I have. Ultimately I would do neither. I like the idea of loading further forward and would do Happy trails pannier racks for anything with any weight at all.

 

Hah,, that IS the Nomadic rack. I have it and it is great.
Take some advise though and put a liberal amount of Never Seize on the bolts when you put them in. Makes seat removal nice for servicing the air cleaner.
