Default Quick jetting question.

Hi guys, I just got my jet kit and it came with 2 main jets and NO pilot jet. is this a problem? I'll be running stock exhaust for a little while longer but I was reading that I should be replacing the pilot jet with a 40 instead of the stock 35. What do you guys think? Should I order the new pilot jet or not worry about it yet?

Thanks,
Jim...........

No most people do not replace the pilot jet because shimming the needle does the same thing...and a 40 would be too big

Look in my sig below and see what i have..i put a 38 in

Dready, in the big city of TR. Grew up in Taylors. What kit did you get. Just got mine and its still stock. Look to add a jet kit too. I like the quietness of the stock pipe and would love to jet it and get more power. Feel that I need to change pipes to get the extra power that the jetting will deserve. Evidently Dready doesnt know how far Myrtle Beach is from up here. Maybe I need to take mine down to him and let him do my mods. Let me know how it turns out when it quits raining. Do you know the name, Randy Hawkins?

Hey Guys, this thing turned out great. It is a pain in the butt to get the carb in and out but im sure glad that ive done it now. I installed the 125 main, installed 1 .032 shim on the needle and turn the fuel screw out 2 turns and also left the airbox lid off. The bike runs like a totally different bike now.
Hi scallen, I dont know Randy Hawkins, but someday id love to go for a ride over in the Westminster area if you know of anything off road it would be even better.

Thanks for the help!

Jim............

Jim, Randy was once one of the best enduro riders in the US and was from Travelers Rest. 7 time national champ. Here's something on him.
