congrats on the newfound power. now, it gets better with a 13-tooth countershaft sprocket, a Uni-filter air filter, larger hole made on top of the airbox with removal of oem nostril, and of course larger main jet, drilled slide, air/fuel screw 2-2.5 turns out from fully seated, crankcase vent enlarged to 3/8", and smog system removal. you'll be surprised how it runs once it's set up. it's no berm rocket, but if you're careful you can get into 3rd gear wheelies. I'm in Iowa and am not sure the sea level up here.

I personally do not have the time to fill that long thing out. Don't make this harder than it really is. You know what to do, now just do it. Parts- exhaust system, air filter, main jet 128, drilled slide-free, crankcase mod- free, 13-tooth cs sprocket, 2.5 turns out on air/fuel screw, N1TC needle in 2nd position. This is what I have done in Iowa and I'm darn happy with results.

If you do not/cannot do the exhaust system right now for whatever reason, my advice would be to order a 13-tooth cs sprocket for $20 from denniskirk.com for a Honda XR650L, it fits your KLX. Then I'd buy a Uni-filter to get a little more air in as the KLX needs it from the factory. The jetting needs to be done with a pipe to really notice any significant power gains. The sprocket is the single most enhancing mod you can do to the bike straight out of the crate imo. It really wakes the power delivery up on the little ducktaped guy.

if you actually looked at the thread youd see it was more about jet and bike setup to enable to get people to have a map more or less to get there jetting right from the start.. hence the elevation being there.. but no worries

Also, the N1TC needle was in the 3rd slot from the top for a while, but when it was decellerating he said it "Felt like it was gonna die", so he moved it to the 2nd slot.
