Default Pro Moto Billet luggage rack

Is anyone using this rack and if so how do you like it?

Pro Moto Billet / Fastway Performance

Any other suggestions for a bolt-on rack? All I need it for is strapping down an occasional shopping bag or a small duffle bag. Nothing too big or heavy.

I dont have one but it IS the one I am going to buy when I DO buy a rear rack.

Plus, PMB is about 20 miles away from where I live. Support the locals.

Have you looked at the Cycleracks one?
Home - Cycleracks.com - Your Motorcycle Rack Solution
The one for the KLX250S:

It puts function over fashion, does a good job of protecting the plastics and rear turn signals at "nap" time. Proven! Also gives handholds for picking up the bike. Some of the load weight is transferred to the passenger peg location on the frame.

I have it and I love it. I also had such a rack for my last two bikes, a Honda CRF and a Suzuki DR650. Those racks are very tough and they look real good.

The KLX one has the right size. I would always buy this rack again evenso I live in Thailand and it cost me some extra cash shipping it here and pay the high taxes.

I see how two of the screws go into the frame. Did you have to drill two more holes? Does it feel sturdy? Thanks.

It appears that the Pro Billet rack requires drilling new holes in the rear fender. I'm looking at either the TCI or Happy Trail racks, neither require drilling and both will let you add side mount racks for soft or hard luggage.

yes the rack requires to drill holes in the rear fender, that's all. It's very easy. Only in the rear fender which costs like nothing if you need to buy it new. So don't worry. The rack is very tight and sturdy. Really!
