I buy the 6-pack of Techron fuel system cleaner at Costco for about $15, Techron is the only fuel system additive recommended by BMW, GM and other manufacturers.

I try to add 1-2oz per fill-up, I also use it regularly in all my bikes, boat, autos, lawnmower and power tools for years and have never had a fuel related problem.
I recently removed the top end of my old KE100 to decarbon the motor but there was none to speak of.

Seafoam is great stuff as well, I have run it through my boat (Merc 5.7L) a time or two with excellent results.

Not seeing much smoke and the stutter is still there. Still going through the tank though. 1 can for almost a full tank. Did some highway runs since I put my supermoto wheels back on. Man they are fun!

Gonna try it in the cars to tomorrow. I bet my 94 Crown Vic will spew smoke all over.

Ummmm.....you didn't follow my instructions.

Perhaps I should have been more clear. Drain tank. Pour in one 16oz can of seafoam add only 0.5 gallon of gas...thats it no more.

That concentration will decarb your engine and still not hurt it.......use less and more gas and it's just pm...not a decarb.

I wish I had a video of decarbing my old Exploder ...... that sucker must have killed mosquitos for a three mile radius.

Any autoparts store should have it. I get mine at auto zone, I'm sure they carry it. About $7 if I remember right.

Hey guys, just so we are clear, trying to decarb a 4-stroke klx with less than 3k miles is not going to make much smoke, my lc4 a bit more..just remember if you do not have a lot of carbon buildup like a smoker....you are not going to get a lot of smoke....but clean it up she will.

It's really meant for 2-strokes where carbon buildup is a problem fast.....works great on 4-strokes too but the results are well......less exciting.

Suck it up into vacuum - that's when you see some good smoke! When I use it on my cars I pull a vac hose and let it sip the entire bottle while I run the engine up. Works great.
