Default Pour in fuel system cleaner?

Can you use these on our bike? I saw one for FI and carbureted vehicles at the store and was wondering if it was OK to use with our CV carb and motor.

I have also wondered this, i looked at all the types and none said it was suitable for bikes. But thats not too say u can't use it, i don't think it could do any damage rly, all they are is just a small amount of very high octane fuel.

WebBikeWorld recommends this

http://www.seafoamsales.com/motor-treatment/index.html

Going to look for something similar in the local shops around here and try that. I THOUGHT I had fixed my highway stutter by cleaning the carb with the method on KLX world.com.

I think I also need to try 1 higher on the pilot jet. Where can I get this? I also lost the Dynojet jet thats 1 above 128...132? Wanted to try that but...I can't. Bubbling and sputtering on deceleration is gone after replacing rotted smog vacuum caps. I'll have to keep an eye on them as I used the same brand.

Thumbs up

Just curious...have you tried the Iridium plug?...some say it smooths out the bike, I have one installed but I am a true believer in good quality spark plugs anyhow.

And running some small engine tune-up in the gas shouldn't hurt it...I always add some to my first spring tank of gas...just be sure to add the proper amount as noted on the bottle.

I have the iridium plug. Makes no impact.

I know it has something to do with idle. I'll be going down the highway stuttering...come to a traffic light, idle, then back up to 70 mph and it's smooth as butter. Stop....go again, stuttering... Not always over and over, but idling for a short while seems to help, or induce the condition. What's the pilot jet that's 1 up from stock?

Seafoam is the the shiztttz...hands down. Been around since waaaay before I was born, not some bs "new" product. Boaters have been using it for years and years to de-carbon outboard smokers.

I recently decarbed the klx and ktm with seafoam.....talk about a clean piston and valves....it's the best....accept no substitute.

Next time I decarb the klx....I'll post a how to on a thread.

I'm gonna order some and see if it does anything by just pouring it in. If not, I'm going to yank the carb throw it in a trash compacter.

lol.....use one 16 oz can in half a gallon of gas.....start klx and get her warm. Turn off motor...let soak about 15 minutes....start klx. and watch all the smoke, that is your carbon burning off....repeat until she no longer smokes.

I used some fuel injector cleaner this weekend and I swear the bike got more reponsive but then again it may have been a mental fix
