As for "keeping my legs together"...in Florida, there's so much sand that you have to be quick on the seat to move around.
When I'm going down a sand road, I also want to be back on the bike so the front tire floats.
But if keeping my legs spread out is un-lady like, then I suppose I have to learn how to ride "side-saddle"!
Heck, I'm still learning all this dirt-stuff!

I think that the peanut gallery was suggesting to squeeze the tank with your thighs, but they don't ride sand everyday
