Default Pet Peev

Anyone else ever get this? I'm talking to a girl Ive known for a while about my klx250sf and she says "yeah I rode on the back of this dudes sport bike once. It was awesome!"
I offered to take her for a ride some time.
Her reply..."no I like real motorcycles yours is just a dirtbike"

...WTF?!?!?!?!!!!!!

I believe you have just discovered why only old farts ride dual-sports and sport bikes are as popular as they are.

Sorry I have no advise what to do about it.

Spoken like someone who values flash over function, the world is full of them and their opinions safely ignored. Her loss.

Just a dirtbike? Shoot, this forum is full of people who have never gotten over their dirt bike jones and bought the KLX because - not in spite - of it's dirtbike heritage. I'm waaaaay past the point of caring what other people think of my little thumper, it serves my need just fine thanks.

There, fixed it for you.

Challenge her to go for a ride through the dirt, and perhaps launch off a woop. Hell if you dump her off you might knock the snob out of her!!

hahaha, enjoy what you have. No matter what bike you ride, there is always someone that will try and put your ride down.

Who cares about that kind of chick ?
After all, having a little tiny engine and a uncomfortable saddle is a good reason to leave GF home and have some fun with the boys !
