Default Pelican 1200 Best Place to buy

After a lengthy search I found that some of the places to buy these cases will offer a competitive price, only to hose you on the shipping. This place below only charges like $8 to ship and I ordered 2 cases so it was $14. Another thing, I was going to get a 1300 at first for the extra storage space but did this instead. I took a cardboard box (catfish nuggets) and modified it to the external dimensions of the 1200 and 1300 and placed it on the bike. The 1200 is plenty big enough and still looks good. The 1300 would look way too big.

That's why i use a 1200 case......Only mine shipped thru my work as we buy and use them to carry our Trimble GPS units for the heavy equipment.....The 1200 mounts perfect to the klx rack.

I found a great deal on 22oz MSR fuel bottles to fit in the 1200 case. They even have the Marines logo on them. Quantity 2 of them, brand new with reasonable shipping, about $20.

Someone on here way back when we first started putting the cases on our bikes installed a 1400. I forget who that was. I think I got my bottles for $11.99 each here at the local outfitters, and the 33 oz bottles were like $16.00 each. I also think the 1200 is the perfect fit. I mean you guys have seen the 8 piece box of chicken I haul in it right?

Sorry for my "nub-ness" but how does it mount onto the rack? (now that I say that out loud it sure does'nt sound right, haha)

The way you mount the case is with 3 clamps called adell clamps I think. There is a write up on here I'll see if I can locate it.
