The krylon holds up pretty well in the woods. If you are mostly on the street than it would hold up great.

If you put paint in any high rub areas, the paint will be missing in a few rides. Example- side panels where your boots contact or places where your knees will always rub.

This is what I did: Replaced the front fender and headlight housing with the Acerbis (black and grey) Tecnik and the UFO Sahara as shown since those usually receive the brunt of scratches. Used black Krylon Fusion paint on the radiator and rear fender plastics (5 or 6 coats and painted both the inside and outside to get rid of ALL the green), make sure you let it dry for at least 48 hours before bolting them back on! Also added the seat cover. I then purchased graphics from XGX for the radiator shroud and number plate. These come in an extra thick decal material that covers the entire plastics. Also you can custom design them on their website. I haven't used the number plate one yet (in black), haven't decided if I like the white yet. Of course the hand guards you can buy in a number of colors. It's been several months since the transformation and everything is holding up fine to the extremes of desert riding.

Or you could put a black klx300 tank on her which would bump up your fuel capacity to 2.6 gallons and then buy black klx300 plastic for her....the only piece of plastic you would have to paint is the mudguard for the airbox (see the bit of green in this pic) and klx300 aftermarket replacement plastic is cheap compared to the factory plastic.

This is my black 06
