What do you guys have? The little KLX is my first real bike (after riding some dirt bikes growing up and mopeds yes mopeds) and I love it.

I basically fell into it as the dealer just happened to get it in on trade. I was actually looking at TW200s and even scooters (150cc) at the time. The KLX was actually my cheapest option. Boy did I get lucky. I could not be happier with the way the bike is working out for me. I mentioned that I am only using it for a commuter. Although, that includes some dirt roads and a bit of land "viewing" for real estate. This week I am going to go out on some great back country dirt roads with lots of rollers, corners and hills.

However, I am thinking that I may end up getting another bike to park next to the KLX. MPG is my criteria as it was when I bought the KLX. All things considered the new CBR250R might be the one. I have not at all been drawn to sport bikes in the past but that looks like a very sensible bike with lots of upsides.

On the other side of the coin I see that the new 2012 Honda CRF250L has the same engine as the CBR250R and they are claiming some great MPG out of it (up to 100mpg)

Next year when I save up the cash.

What other bikes do you guys have?

 

I had a 1980 CB750K. Thats the bike i traded straight up for my 98 KLR650.

Then when i got the KLR. i had a 84 nighthawk for awhile.....

Then my life went to **** and i sold that bike. So i just have the KLR and KLX. I would like to have a street bike.... but not in the cards right now.

 

I owned this kwaka 750 turbo for a couple of years in the late 80's early 90's. Jesus was it quick for it's time & boy did it sound good!! The only road bike that could keep up with acceleration was the RD500LC, that came out a year before I sold the beast.
