I had the fortune of seeing Decoster ride when they had the mx races just outside of Tacoma back in the 70's. He and Brad Lacky in there day were like Carmikel and Stewart are today. What a pleasure to watch. If only I had the talent any one of them has in there little finger.

I had a 79 TS185 when I was a kid. I was twelve when I got it, and it was probably too big for me, but my Dad didn't want me to outgrow it in a year. I rode the hell out of that thing until I was sixteen. It looked just like that one but blue, like this one:

I had a lime green Yamaha 100 that was a dual sport. I think it was a 79 model. I'll have to see if I can find some old pics. Maybe that is why I like Kawasaki's now. I didn't know Suzuki got in on the lime green also.

I had an old Yamaha 175, I guess it was a mid 70's model. It fouled plugs like mad. I had to carry extra plugs and a book of matches (to dry out the cylinder) every where I went. I got into trouble riding it on the street. The last time the cops brought me home my Dad sold the bike. Now I have the KLX and I smile every time I hit the street on my DIRT bike. Man I love this bike.

Ya, I feel like I am doing something illegal every time I pull off a trail onto the road. It's great!

Here's my "old school" ride. Picked it up last week. What a beast!!! It will wheely in 5th gear. It a 1983 four stroke single cylinder 600 with twin carbs and dual exhaust! It's old and needs a little fixing up ....... but that describes me too! I'll keep you posted on the progress of the restoration.

Gary, it looks like you have your KLX stripped down to about nuthin' back there. I would say you need to get that back together before starting in on that red beast.

If you need me to come up and take all those parts off your hands and make her a good home, I can help you out.

I just want you to be able to focus on your Honda restoration, of course. Just tryin' to help a brother out.
