Default Oil filter Cap...

Hi Guys I have a silly question, Here goes... I did my very first oil change on the bike a few days ago and was not paying attention when I took the oil filter and cover off I did not notice the oil flow ports in the cover. I looked at it and I am about 99.9% positive that I put it back on right and lined everything up properly. I have since put about 40 kilometers and seems to be running like it should. What would the bike Do if I put it on backwards??

I'm not positive but I think it only goes in one way. I believe the two bolts are not perfectly centered so if you try to install it upsidedown, it won't fit.

I'd lean the bike over on something and pull the cover just to be sure. The last thing you want is to plug the oil flow. After you verify that its in correctly why no make a small mark on the cover and the right side case with a sharpie or something. That way you know its in correct.

Deej I have a Bad Case of OCD as well I checked it a couple of times!!( And I am still paranoid I OCD everthing!!)Trip, I put the spring back in andI had to lay the bike on it's side to do it. What a pain in the A$$[:@]. I checked and I think the Guys that say it can only go on one way are right. The holes look to be off center....
