Default Oil filter

Has anyone else had this happen? This is twice now that the oil filter doesn't seem to be the same. The model number is the exact same, its been 4 months since I changed my oil. Why can't changing the oil be simple. I have a hell of a hard time finding the correct filter! Rage!

For what it's worth I use the K&N filter part no. KN-112. I think the Kawasaki part no. is 52010-1053.

Never had a problem... but then again, my bike only has 132,000 miles on it, and I've only changed the oil once.

Hmmm... seemed funnier before I typed it. Oh well. Seriously, I buy the same filter every time, and it's always been exactly as the one it replaced.

What filter? I'm taking advice and trying the K&N filter. As well as complaining to wix...I have photo evidence...EVIDENCE!

Wally-world and Advance Auto carry the Fram that fits the KLX. I forget the part number... I can get it for you if you really want it.

Personally, I would not use a mesh or K&N type in my bike for the simple reason that it's a filter, and I want it catching the smallest particles possible. Mesh filters can't do that as well as a paper filter.

The fram is a CH-6015, and they too had the small little hole instead of the larger hole. Do you guys use the filter with the smaller hole?

My Honda trx250x and 300ex four wheelers both use the same oil filter as my klx does. weird.
