Oh my! That brass part is supposed to be solid, ain't it?

Looks like you were aiming at the pilot screw plug but got a little off with your aim...

Aim was great - just picked the wrong target. The bugs were so bad I was going mainly off memory and in too big a hurry, with only a quick glance at the very dark pic on the DJ sheet. After getting quite a deep hole going there, a second longer look at the pic led to the OH GAWD. I can see daylight thru there into the carb bore, thru a tiny hole. Ended up jamming the DJ screw in the hole for now for a test run:

Will likely try to find some epoxy or something to fill it in with. Would like to find a cutaway showing carb passages though to see how much damage I really did. On the bright side, I was real happy with how it ran after all that - did the snorkle too. Once I got the right plug out, I found the screw was turned in all the way.

Still can't believe I did that...

Blind rivit and JB weld is my recomendation
