ANYONE............???

if you are 5-6 hours drive..... this is a must see the rides on Saturday are great fun-travel at your own speed.

The race on sunday is a must see 1500 motorcycles handlebar to handlebar lined up on the ridge waiting for the start- then racing at break-neck speed (literally) to the first corner

DEEJ can you make it this year? Old GUY?? anyone from Spokane you should come out just for the start on sunday if nothing else!!

I'll be there. Doing the Iron Man poker run on Saturday along with a couple of buddies (one on a Super Sherpa and one on a TW200). I'm really looking forward to the spectacle of the thing.

I'm getting to old to do 40 miles of hoopty do's in the sand, but watching the start would be a kick.

thats why the klx is so great....... if you take it easy you can ride trails ALL day, last couple of years we have done the family loop and all the "other" trails you get to do after some road travel 165 plus miles and felt great.
Come on out you can do as little as you want.

Hi all, my first post. I just sold the trusty 2001 XR400 a week ago and picked up a new 2009 klx250s on Friday. I've done the desert 100 weekend since it was in Vantage and it is a great trip. I used the D100 as a selling point for the XR and now I "can't" go. We usually do the 80 mile iron man poker run on Saturday and then race the D100 on Sunday. Of course, I don't plan to win it but to finish all 100 miles and beat the other folks in our party is plenty.

Isn't there a dual sport event associated with the D100 weekend? I recall them talking about the brewery in Odessa on this route.

Anyway, I hope to begin converting the KLX to a more dirtworthy machine. It already has a kickstarter and black plastics from an SF. I love the bike and my last dual sport was an 85 or so XL200r so lots has changed.

I'm in! Last time I did the D100 was in Vantage. I was still prety young at the time, so I rode the poker run 2-up with my dad. Thats was a weekend I'll never forget. I hope to make some new memories this year. I plan on getting there late Thursday night and spend all day friday and Saturday ridding.
Has anyone done the DS ride on a KLX? sounds tempting but I've got it geared down a little so it don't do too good on the highway.
Hope to see ya'll there.
