Just took a look at my front Scorpion Pro. While I do really like the tire performance I was surprised to find how much damage the side ***** had sustained.

The back tire is wearing but undamaged. I have had both tires for about 800 miles with 95% off road - usually rocky or hardpack trails.

I have run lots of D606s in the past thinking they were great but the Scorpion blows them away in off road handling.

What is the second best off road oriented dual sport tire?

 

Dunlop 952...not DOT but wears like iron and performs great off road. On the kdx they last forever and on my buddys XR650l transformed the bike off road and did not chunk or lose a **** in the two years he owned it..before he upgraded to a KDX..We do alot of woods and single track...I have done dual sports on my plated KDX and the tires do fine on blacktop..and great on the dirt..they are also pretty cheap.
