since you said you got your spark arrestor in I wanted to see if I could on mine
im not using the dg silencer tip, but I am using that chrome werks insert and I hate how ugly it looked from the rear of the bike
since my exhaust opening is like 2 inches you can see all the way inside

I cut the screen apart on the long section
and flattened it out

cut off the ring on the screen and used that as a mold
so my screen is now inside the cap wrapped around the ring, the ring hammered on
this way it wont blow out

and for those that use this dg, you notice how clean my turn signal clear lens is



well it did have a sooty stain on it, along with half of my red brake light
could not clean it off, was almost thinking about buying a new signal lens

I put on some denatured alcohol on a paper towel and it took the soot stain off the signal and brake light lens
did not do any damage or make them cloudy like harsher chemicals could do

I also use the denatured alcohol on my white body panels that get ground in road grime stains too

and its a great mirror cleaner

 

Great idea! I might try that when I do the next repack. BTW when you repack "more is not better". I should have rolled a little less and it might have gone together easier.
