Default Nobrakes Old Big Bore KLX Is Back On The Market

Hey, been a while since I was on this site.. I see you finally took care of Iowaguy...(and all his aliases.... ) Great job!!

Well, my son has gone off to college, so I only need one KLX 250s for riding around town and on the trails. I am putting the 331 up for sale since it is really set up for me, and my son can't ride it when hes back visiting / summer break..

I put 1300 miles on the bike since I bought it from Nobrakes, Made some minor modifications to the handlebars, seat and travel to get it a bit taller, and have had it garage kept.

Its in cherry condition for a bike with 5200 miles on it (1900 since being upgraded to a 331) and I believe its priced very reasonably...

If you or any of your friends are interested, here is the E-bay link..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...item255de75837

Thanks,

Dave

If you don't mind, what did you do to the travel to get it a bit taller? That thought had crossed my mind, for more ground clearance.

I had.44 mm springs installed in the front shocks to keep the travel at 11 inches for my 200 lb plus weight when all the gear is one.. and cranked up the rear shock spacers almost to the top. my sag is about 3 inches (again, seems right for my weight fully dressed to ride) and is, as you can see from the pics, pretty high up... I finished it off with a guts higher foam racing seat to give me a comfortable riding height.. feels much more like the CR125R I used to ride before all the dirt bike laws left no legal places to ride in NJ for non-street legal bikes.

Hope that helps...

Thanks, yeah, the needless banter on this site back then was soooo bad.. looks like you guys took care of that!! Glad to see its back to focusing on riding and sharing tech. information... This site was a wealth of knowledge for me when I first got my bike!!

Is Deej's bike still squeaky clean?!?!? I think the soap suds never really leave the bike... they just get absorbed into the frame.... (;-)

LOL I don't think that his bike has hit the dirt yet, and any dirt that hits the bike doesn't stay there long.

The bike looks great DirtSurfer, if I had the money I would buy it back from you. That's a good running machine. Someone's going to be very happy with it.

I'm not at all suprised by the 500 mile compliment, you have always rode hard and cleaned hard!! 14000 miles.. Geeze Deej, your getting your moneys worth too!!
