Default Nicaragua/Thumper Heaven

HI all, just got back from Nicaragua. I had never been to a developing country before, it was quite a shock. I was happy to see all the 125, 200, 225 and maybe 250 cc thumpers out there. Of course people from that country have it for different reasons than we do but it was still fun to see. I have a few pics that I'll attach soon.

No way a 125 can be called a thumper

I'm looking forward to the pics.

Default Just more random pics

These are from the Miraflor reserve where we stayed. There was a main house with a loft upstairs and then three "huts" were we stayed. They had gravity fed water, solar power and solar heated water for the outdoor shower. The wood work on the houses was awesome and they were not sealed, fresh air all night or till the roosters began to crow at 4am. There is a dirt road in one of these pics that we walked down for a half hour to get to our bird guides house. This dirt road seemed to go on for ever. It was a fantastic adventure. Not enough time to get into all the details.

Nice pictures BGB. I have a KLX 250 SF (Motard) and I would like some tires that would perform a better off road, but still be good on pavement. I am considering the Avon Distanzia and was curious how you liked yours.

I like them alot. I havent gone too far off road with them yet so I dont have any feedback. I've got a lot of loose sand here in central Florida and I dont want to get stuck if they dont work that good. As far as on the road they are way smoother than the knobbies were.

Thanks for the info. By off road I am only referring to dirt and gravel fire roads, not necessarily grass or any large deep patches of mud other than a fire road that has been rained on. I am considering these because they will fit the 17" moto rims on my bike.
