Default newbie questions & first post

hey everyone

just got a 09 klx250sf about a month ago. bought it new from my local dealer for $3500. all stock except edge tail kit from wheeling cycle supply.

I hear alot about a dual air filter mod and was wanting to know how you guys are doing it? Is there a kit or is it custom made? and does in require jetting the carb.

which exhaust system is the best bang for the buck, without be to loud as i ride 99.9% of the time on street.

also what websites to you guys use to by you aftermarket parts for your bikes?

thanks for all the help in advance
ryan

Ryan congrats on the bike!
"dual air filter" ? you are probably seeing people install twinair brand filters. Most of the aftermarket foam filters are made of two different densities of foam bonded together. The first layer acts like a pre-filter,and the second layer filters out smaller stuff. You want one of these free flowing after market filters.
The FMF Q4 is probably the muffler you want. It makes a nice noise when your on it, but quiets down if you are just motoring along.
Rocky Mountain ATV is a great website for buying stuff. Inexpensive on most things and shipping is a flat $7 or if you are buying over $99 of stuff shipping's free. Shop around for some things though , RMATV isn't always cheapest for bigger items. You might find the FMF Q4 cheaper at an Ebay store. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/home.do
