Okay, I finally got around to replacing the OEM turn signals, directionals, markers or blinkers depending on your educational and regional background. I was going to modify the originals but since I had these BikeMaster Universal lights laying around for three months - why not give them a shot first. They were brighter than I thought and brighter than the OEM's. I had to do a little work on the front headlight fairning even though I added a 1/2" extension, but I think they look good compared to those giant-sticking-out-mother stock ones. They do feel a little on the cheap plastic side though.

 

I got bikemasters on my bike too (the more arrow shaped ones). I love the looks, and the brightness is great.

For the front, I made a bracket to raise the blinkers about an inch from "the upper shroud screw", which kept me from cutting theplastic. Looks good though man.

Nice job you guys. I really like the stock ones I put back on, but then again I'm not dropping the bike so mine should last forever right? (Famous last words)[8D]

 

Mark I new you would get around to putting them on sooner or later, they look nice - COPYCAT!

 

Well KC I figured since your bike is exactly the same as mine with all the mods, HMF, etc, but you're so much faster than me on the trails it must be those smaller, lighter and aerodynamic turn signals that's giving you the edge!

 

Fortunately, Colorado doesn't require turn signals on bikes. Four less things to break.

Last week at the track, I tore the folding mirror off (yes, it was folded down) and nearly tore the license plate in half. Fixed the license plate with JB weld and added an aluminum plate backer. The license plate is really thin.

 

they look nice but you should have gotten the rubber stalked version. i hadthe ones you havealso. exactly where you have yours and broke them so many times that i got sick of em and did what eric and deej did. i put the flush mounts right on the fender.

 

Those are the same lites I have on the back as well. I too at first thought they felt a little hard, maybe brittle, but so far so good and I love how they look. I did put a dab of wate4rproof Gorilla glue on the ends to keep them from rotating on the mount as they do not have a postioning pin sticking out. And they are short enough that they won't hit the ground when you drop the bike on its side.

 

Whoa, Dan, that thing looks like a scythe ready to slice open your jugular on your next endo get-off. I'd maybe rethink that if were you. Maybe bend the edges down or something?
