New rear tire! This is a DOT competition tire so is the front, also a DOT tire. The front is a 4ply the rear 6ply.

The new Kenda Enduro's are great on the trail but wear fast on the road, and they're cheap. I have them on my LC4 (bit bigger than the KLX
). I'll probably go back to the Michelin Dessert Racing tire (not cheap) for the LC4, its good for 4000 miles on the LC4. So, if you do a lot of dualsports, then I'd reconsider.
The Michelin AC10 rear tire works great fora DOT tire and is reasonable. I've got it on my dualsported KTM EXC.
BTW, I have been surprised at the stock tires. Perhaps its because they're new but they work great in the dry stuff. Its only in the mud where it gets squirrely. The saving grace there is the seat height on the KLX is so low I just put both feet downlike outriggers.
