new signals, mirrors, windscreen, twin air filter
After a long winter I'm ready to ride hard again. Its been 3.5 months since I rode the KLX. Trust me, I have felt every week not riding the greenmachine.
To kick off the new year I am installing,
1. smaller flexible mirrors
2. smaller front and rear signals lights.
3. larger special ordered windscreen with quick release locks.
4. Twin Air backfire air filter, going to remove the back fire screen
5. 128 main jet, to compinsate for removing the back fire screen.
Last year my last and best mod was the HMF exhaust slip-on. So sweet! Looking forward to another spring/summer/fall of adventures.
When my mods are done I'll post pics for the body work.

RE: new signals, mirrors, windscreen, twin air filter
The part number for the air filter is 10-152313 ($25CDN, a good deal). Its for all Yamaha YZ 4-strokes. You have to cut a bit of the foam on the inside bottom to make it fit the KLX. Its worth it if you can pull 1-2HP out, by safely removing the backfire screen.
Go to www.twinairusa.com. They will have dealers close to you. In Canada my dealership ordered from the Steen Hansens cataloque.
I'm currently running a 125 main jet.

Just wondering; has anyone gotten a Back Fire out of their engine? Sorry, I am an old two stroke guy and was curious. Besides I have insurance!
