Im thing of getting the Mojave skid plate in the near future. Id like to polish the aluminum to a high gloss for a unique look.

Ive polished stainless steel but is it possible to get that mirror like finish on aluminum?

you can polish aluminum beautiflully. Mirror finish if you take the time. I wouldn't waste the time polishing a skidplate, unless you don't take your bike off road, the front tire throws plenty of rocks up.

Check out this bash plate/toolbox combo a guy here in Aus is making for the DR650,





He has been making them, for the KTM 640 for awhile now is is just finalising the prototype for the DR.

I'm assured that I will be the first paying customer.
