Hi guys, I;ve been a lurker here for almost a year picking everyone's brains on mods and thoughts about the little KLX250s, and I finally dropped the hammer, broke down and picked up a sweet deal ( i think anyway ).
Here is the new addition to the stable. the ride out to Long Island really sucked today but well worth it in the end. Spent the afternoon at the NJDMV and she's roadworthy now. What do you all think for $3300?

$3300 is a great deal. Is it used, how many miles. It looks brand new except for a little wear on the tires and it already has a fender eliminator. Did you add that, where did you get it? I have not seen an eliminator like that for this bike yet.

1100 miles and i think it has been dropped once or twice in the sand because of the typical scratches in the side plastics.
Yeah,,, it for sure wont be clean next year ( after the mods ) i figure the mods first because i like to work on a clean bike. It shouldn't get as beat up as my Hondas are because i plan on Dual Sports with it rather than woods play riding and Hare scrambles.
I have 3 other bikes for that.
The poor kid who i bought it from needed money and had it listed 3 times on eBay with no takers for his asking price.. So,,,, i waited a few weeks and called him back,, showed up with a handful of Benjamin s and the deal was done..
I have an extra $700 because i was planning on going as high as $4K for the bike.
So now i will send the rest of the money to Bill for a 351 kit..
Yeah ,, i like the red, it matches the rest of my bikes. My kids are pissed that there is a KAWI in the house, but then,, I like the Giants, and the Vikings.
Really, it doesn't matter what team as long as you enjoy the sport.
I think the same holds true here, it doesn't matter what brand bike, as long as it puts a grin on my mug!!!
I am hoping when i get done modding it, i cant stop grinning!!!!
The tail light is an EDGE i was told, but i can't confirm. The stock one is in a box in the garage in case i need it.
