Not sure where you are but don't beleive they made one in MY 2008. VIN on frame 10th digit will tell you the year. 2007 10th digit is a 7, 2008 10th digit is an 8 ect...

It's my understanding that they were still manufactured in 2008, just not sold in the USA (or Canada).

For Example, I have a 2011 KLX250s - I understand that in 2011 the KLX250s was NOT sold in the USA (sales were too slow there, and there was lots of 2010's left in stock), but was sold in Canada. It looks, so far, like 2015 might be the same, but for USA and Canada, as I haven't seen a 2015 KLX250S on the US or Canadian Kawasaki sites.

Does your bike have analog or digital instruments? The 2009s were for sale in North America in 2008.
