I watch people all the time here in Vegas not pull over for Emergency vehicles. If people aren't seeing or hearing them, I know I don't even register to them.

Always on defense I guess. I am changing my tune a bit about exhaust's. I may start looking for something.

Well I think I may have narrowed down my exhaust to either Two Brothers or FMF Q4.

My question is:

Do any owners with either of those pipes on a 2009 or 2010 KLX250SF have issues with (1) pipe heat melting the turn signal and/or (2) pipe heat melting the side fairing next to the pipe?

I've been reading that this does occur but maybe it's a rare thing when it does.

Thanks for any info.

I have an FMF PowerCore4 (which basically the Q4 with a different tip) and have none of the problems you mention.

It was only when I mounted my Edge tail light that I put my number plate holder with side reflectors did I have a small problem. I mounted it too high so it melted off the reflector - hardly a big issue. Indicators are perfectly safe though.

You are worrying about nothing mate - get the slip-on already and be a MUCH happier person!

I also have the Powercore 4 which is just like the Q4 and the rest of the back of the bike is stock and I've had no issues with it, no discoloring of the fender either, it just dosen't happen with a proper install.

I don't think you'll be disappointed either way. Don't make too big of a deal over it. I'd say the 2 bros has a sharper crack to it and the Q4 has a lower thump to it, but most people would be happy with either.

If you decide to go on dual sport rides, then you'll need to come in under 96DB. Then you'll need the Q4.

Thanks everyone for the info.

Looking at pix, the Two Bros has a shorter can than the FMF, correct?

I was searching for measurements yesterday but couldn't find any.

Default did some mods already!

Removed the stickers. It's faster already with less drag!

Still trying to decide on an exhaust. Probably going to get a Two Brothers -- I like the carbon fiber look to go with the bike.

I could be wrong but does the slip on do much?
Aren't most of the gains in the header?
