Default New KLX300 in Oregon or Washington for MSRP?

A few weeks ago I did some calling around to find a new KLX300. Everyone was adding at least a grand to MSRP. One dealer wanted $7999 plus fees. I have a 2012 but was thinking of getting a new one. No hurry, I can wait a year or two. Is this the norm you guys are experiencing also? Thanks

$8k plus tax and registration is crazy for these bikes. I wouldn't buy one.

If you want one right now it is supply and demand with supply being short, making it a seller's market. Same is going on with used bikes. It's going to take a year or so for things to level out again.

Just put a 300 kit in my 2012, I am good.

But kinda would like a FI camo. I can wait.

That's the state of (insane) affairs in the aftermath of Rona. In my neck of the woods, typical going rates are probably more than 1000 higher than the norm for most any bike. Good used trucks are more like 10k over what they "should be".

Scotty Kilmer youtube car repair guru says if your vehicle is running, keep it. Do not buy anything new right now.

I paid $7,208, plus $198 for license, and $594 California State Sales Tax, for an even $8,000. Online said they had 3, but when I went there, they had only one SM so I bought it on the spot and I'm happy with it.

When it's a seller's market I pay the going price for whatever I want to buy.

Found a 300s in MN, selling for MSRP. Heading there for holiday so might call and buy it. Green, not camo. Oh well

Green is better anyway. Otherwise, one may not recall where they parked it.
Yes, I'm biased.
